Birthday Buyers

By Living Room Realty, March 27, 2019

I met Ryan Fitzpatrick at his 40th birthday party in Astoria which was a co-celebrating shindig alongside our mutual friend, Barry. Barry is from Liverpool, England and considers Ryan a “brother from another mother”, truly that sort of commendation mean a lot. So I knew Ryan was “on the level.” The evening had lots of shenanigans that carried on well past when I snuck off to bed, so needless to say when I first sat down with Ryan and his girlfriend Lydia to discuss home buying, we already had established a pretty good trust level. What happened at the coast, stays at the coast. I also knew it would be pretty fun getting to hang with these two, which makes the home hunting process that much more enjoyable.

Ryan is a carpenter by trade and wasn’t scared off by buying a fixer. In fact, getting his hands on a diamond in the rough was what we were actually looking for. I don’t always recommend a true fixer for first time homeowners, but when you are a pro like Ryan, it’s all relative. So we found a great little home on a double lot in St John’s that he and Lydia will be adding lots of “sweat equity” to.

Congrats to Ryan and Lydia! May there be many more birthday parties in your new home!
