Mike and Diego are New York transplants we had the honor of helping find their perfect Portland home just over a year ago. We’ve stayed in touch and enjoyed watching them put roots down here.
Rick, Mike’s dad, is also an East Coaster. He decided to trade in his multi-acre property to head west and be near his kids. Being used to a natural setting, he needed a home with an established garden, and sense of privacy, but in the heart of NE. When here he planned to enjoy doing fun things and being with family, so a move in ready place was important. No remodeling! Before he even came out to look, he was stalking a particular place online. It was beautifully updated, surrounded by gardens and just a few short blocks to Mike and Diego’s house. We added it to the list of places to visit when he flew out. He saw lots of houses, but the one he had already fell in love with online, delivered. It was perfect. It was also overpriced. It took some doing, but we were able to find a price that both buyer and seller could accept, substantially under the asking price. Then we sailed through inspections and on to closing. Now Mike can move out to his perfect home, walk to visit his family, grab a coffee and do all the things exactly as he had dreamed when planning this move. Mike, Diego, and Rick are thrilled and we are too!
