My wonderful buyers M & W just closed on a sunny mid-century ranch in Madison south! I’ve always been fond of this sweet pocket of homes west of Rocky Butte. The housing stock is graciously unassuming with super functional floor-plans and streets platted at interesting angles.
They’d been seeking a place in a very small radius off their daughter and her family’s home nearby. Back in 2009, I’d had the honor of helping Meg and Tara find that home. It has been a property that continues to serve them well 12 years and 2 kids later. Now, with this closing, parents and grandparents are just around the corner. Close enough without being on top of one another!
I am many years into this always challenging and extremely rewarding career of helping people make a change. It isn’t always (or even often!) a ride without bumps–and prior to this sale, we had to move through a first escrow that was rocky and ultimately failed. This one, however, was a gift, a “breeze”! From my buyers to the sellers, to the list agent, Sara, to our home inspector, Susan (who fielded many after hours calls), to the awesome escrow officer, Thena– all the humans involved made this work. It is always about the people when something succeeds as smoothly as this transfer of ownership did. I’m grateful for all involved… Most of all to my buyers who are just the loveliest of souls and to their extended family who sent them my way. Happy Years ahead to all!
