Welcome to Washington, Kelsey and Jesse!
This sweet story begins with Jesse house hunting in Vancouver in order to reap the tax benefits that Washington state has to offer (a strategy we are seeing more and more of recently). Washington is one of only nine states in the U.S. that does not have income tax.
Jesse also wanted to keep the walkability he was accustomed to in Portland, have easy freeways access (he drives a ton for work!), and two bathrooms was a must. These criteria really limited the scope of his search to right around downtown Vancouver. So, we looked together for quite some time.
But, this is where the story gets good……during our ample search time, Jesse and Kelsey fell in love and decided to move to Washington together and purchase the house together. And, let me tell you, these two are a perfect match for each other!
These savvy buyers found a beautiful, classic home in the Shumway neighborhood in Vancouver. This house had been beautiful updated, and checked all the boxes. Now, delicious adventures, music in the park, and (coming soon!) New Seasons are just a walk or bike ride away. Congratulations on a great find! Wishing you all the best in this new chapter.
