How to Avoid Real Estate Burnout

By Living Room Realty, July 11, 2018

Agents work hard. Long hours, working during the weekend, lots of screen time, and lack of a set schedule can all mean increased stress for agents – and ultimately contribute to decreased productivity and burn out for agents.

These three tips from Relator Magazine can help break the cycle of stress and lead to a more balanced work life.

  1. Know when it’s time to ask for help – Sometimes when business is exploding it’s hard to sustain the growth. Living Room provides agents with marketing, transaction management services, and an on-call buyer’s agent so there is always someone to help. Teamwork makes the dream work!
  2. Set Some Boundaries – Set expectations with clients during your initial buyer or seller consultation by explain the hours you work, the best ways to communicate with you, and how quickly they should expect a response. Being upfront about communication helps all parties feel understood.
  3. Carve out “me” time – Taking care of yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally with time away from work and quality time with family, friends, hobbies, or volunteering is essential to avoid getting burned out.
