College fund with a yard!

Shopping for a small rental, we looked all over Milwaukie., Kelli and Jeremy’s area of choice. Milwaukie is booming, so it’s a great place to invest! We wrote offers, had failed inspections and gone back to the drawing board a few times around. Then, this gem of a house came up on the radar. It had actually been on the market a while. The owner was dividing the huge lot into 5 normal sized lots, and planning to build some nice, mid-sized new houses. The little house was in limbo until the lots were finalized. This process can scare some buyers away- too many unknowns. But not Kelli and Jeremy! They are experienced and have vision! They were shopping just in time to find it when it was ready to go. It still has a lovely yard, good trees and adorable 40’s details. It’s just the right size, and has a bit of room for improvement to build equity. They snatched it up as the perfect compliment to their investment portfolio. They have 3 kids to get through college one day, and this is part of the plan. (Using real estate is a great way to pay for your kid’s college. Ask me how! ) We are very happy for them and know that some lucky tenant will have the cutest house on a really nice block of new homes!
