Craftsman Caretakers

By Cristen Lincoln, August 19, 2019

Grant & Sherry have been living in a craftsman style home just off Division street for 12 years. Over the years they have lovingly restored every room except the kitchen. They considered themselves caretakers for the beautiful old home and did all they could to make sure it wold still be around for another 100 years. When they decided they could no longer live with just one bathroom, they started making plans to update the kitchen and add a master bath. After many back and forth chats with their architects they realized the remodel they desired was ultimately cost prohibitive.

While they were super bummed because they loved their home, they were excited to meet with us and talk through their options of finding another home to love. They were willing to jump right in and trust us to help them get their house sold and help them find another one just as great.

We found a buyer for their home quickly, we negotiated with the new buyers to allow plenty of time for Grant and Sherry to find the new home and get moved in before they had to move out of the old.  We finally found it, a gorgeous big Craftsman with a giant front porch, oversized rooms, tall ceilings and two bathrooms. They plan on being great caretakers for this home as well, and will be doing some restoration and updating to the new house so that it too will last another 100 years.  They couldn’t be more excited to make this house their own, and we couldn’t be more excited to see how beautiful it will become under their stewardship.
