It’s sweatshirt and shorts season here in the PNW and I’ve got some HOPPY QUESTIONS for you:
- Do you love IPA?
- Do you love hops?
- Do you love the taste and smell of fresh hops?
- Did you know that, once a year, for about 2 months, most of your favorite local breweries make a seasonal fresh hops IPA that’ll kick that hop flavor into full gear and remind you of why Fall may be the best season in the PNW…and that season is upon us?!?
If you’re thinking, “Steve, settle down with the run-on sentence with that last question,” then my reply to you is that I simply can not. I feel it is my duty, as a PNW-erner, to let you know that there is something beyond IPA. Beyond Fresh. And that. Is. FRESH HOPS IPA.
If you happen to live in the deep NW, I highly recommend stopping by Cascadia Tap House and asking them for a sample of whatever Fresh Hops they’ve got in rotation. If the ‘Burbs are too far out for ya, then I recommend going to your favorite local brewery and/or taphouse and, if they don’t have Fresh Hops on draft, I highly recommend finding a new favorite local brewery and/or taphouse!
