Steve has made his career based on the concept that “service comes first.”
He has helped clients buy and sell homes on both sides of the river and has a strong understanding of what it takes to negotiate in a way that allows his clients to feel that their best interests are always at the forefront of the negotiation table. He has worked with first time buyers, upsizers, downsizers and investors alike, priding himself on being able to provide well-informed advice based on the current market and leaving the final decisions up to his clients!
After moving to Portland in 2002, Steve bounced around different neighborhoods on the Eastside of Portland and grew a love for straight shots of espresso.
He has now planted roots with his family in the Terra Linda neighborhood of NW Portland and is a sucker for a delicious beer on a hot, summer day from one of the many local breweries in Portland. When he’s not wearing his “Steve the Realtor” hat, he likes to spend time with his wife and two boys, taking trips to OMSI, The Zoo, or just putting on some mud boots and finding trails to explore.
I've had 6 real estate transactions and Steve is easily one of the best agents I've worked with with.
My wife and I are busy and live in another state so we needed a resourceful, detail oriented agent to help us, and that is definitely what Steve brings to the table. Steve coordinated and managed all the logistics around repairs, appraisals, photos, staging, showings and more. One of Steve's best traits is he has really high emotional intelligence, which is important for negotiating with agents and buyers. On top of that, he kept me on track so we didn't miss any deadlines, which I appreciated as I had other things going on. Our sale was quick and sold for over asking.
Steve helped us find and purchase a home from across the country while we planned a move to Portland. He came highly recommended by a few of our friends and we were super impressed with his level of service.
After helping us build a long list of homes to visit for each trip out West Steve carefully built a schedule to make sure we could hit each home and also provided in depth research about each property and the reputation of the builders.
Steve was extremely knowledgeable about the area, extremely quick to respond to any requests, and did a fantastic job of helping us work through the purchasing process. I also want to highlight how patient and respectful he was about this being our decision and not pushing us in any specific direction to get the deal done and move on.
Steve helped us buy our first home. We were overwhelmed by the craziness of the market in Portland, but he led us through a somewhat stressful bidding process with grace and confidence. Steve was super responsive and was willing to take as much time as we needed to explain or talk through any step along the way. He was knowledgeable and patient and shared his honest opinions. A great network of contractors were on his speed dial, getting us through the inspection phase quickly and with solid information. He went above and beyond to work well with the listing agent, our mortgage broker, and even the sellers to insure the process would go smoothly and on schedule. Working with Steve is like working with a good friend. He has a great sense of humor and is honest and positive. These things are invaluable when buying a home.
