As summer winds down, and the mornings get cooler, I try and squeeze every last drop of sunshine in that I can. One of my favorite afternoon past-times is strolling through, and exploring some of the amazing neighborhoods in Portland. The Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood in NE Portland is a fantastic place to spend some time, and I’m here to highlight a few of the “can’t miss” gems close by.
Pip’s Original Doughnuts – 4759 NE Fremont St Suite C
Pips is one of the only fried-to-order donut shops in Portland. They specialize in smaller portions so that you can try all of the daily specialties. During the pandemic, Pips shifted their focus to their house made Chai in a concentrated to-go bottle that allows customers to enjoy on the go. Pips offers to-go only right now and is open daily until 2 (but get there early to avoid the line and make sure they aren’t sold out). They are first come, first serve and in person only!

The Arrangement is one of Portland’s finest gift shops. Sift through local handmade jewelry or spend hours giggling and their witty cards. The Arrangement has all sorts of fine culinary tools and gadgets as well as some of the most luxurious bath and body necessities. They also offer endless fabulous gifts for the little ones and gift wrapping!
Wonderly Cocktail Bar – 4727 NE Fremont St, Portland, OR 97213
If you are wandering around the Beaumont neighborhood and ask a local for their favorite watering hole, there is a strong chance Wanderly is a high contender. Located right in the middle of the bustling strip of Fremont, Wanderly offers high end cocktails and small bites that have exquisite attention to detail. Swing by from 5-6 each day for their happy hour and try their famous margaritas and deviled eggs!
