It is no secret that the current real estate market is very competitive right now. Especially for first time home buyers who are looking for homes in the most popular parts of town in the most common price point. I had the pleasure of working with some lovely first time home buyers over the last few months who were referred to me by past clients. They knew what they wanted, were prepared for the rollercoaster of buying right now, and were motivated to make it happen. We saw countless homes, submitted 7 VERY competitive offers, and they just kept getting beat by the competition. The buyers handled it all so well, stayed steady on their goals, and were determined to find an amazing house.

Fast forward to about a month ago, and they found another house they really wanted. The listing agent was another Living Room agent (yay), and I called the agent to have a great conversation about my amazing buyers. I explained their house hunting history, advocated for their amazing lender, explained what unique things we were going to do to strengthen the offer, and expressed my philosophy on wanting a win-win for every transaction I am a part of. Well, it all worked out! My clients beat out 15 other competitive offers, and they are the proud new owners of this incredibly adorable N Portland home. I could not be more thrilled with the way the transaction went! I love my job!
