Katie and Jeffrey are moving up from Santa Barbara to be near family, and get into a more affordable housing market. They love newer construction, and were excited to explore all the areas around Portland and beyond. We showed them many areas, west and east side, and sent them exploring in the suburbs where new construction is more prominent. Low and behold they discovered Sherwood! Just 40 minutes to PDX, a stone’s throw to wine country, with plenty of walking paths, greenery, fun business area, and lots of newer homes! It was just the perfect fit. They flew back to California, but now we had a plan and a place to shop. We did facetime tours, and used google earth, and photos and videos to show them houses. It worked! We found a newer home with beautiful finishes, a big kitchen and large open floor plan. The backyard was adjacent to a walking path and greenspace, and that sealed the deal. They wanted this house! They were competing, so we called around to different agents whose listings were sale pending, to see what the average offer was in the area. This worked wonders, and we were armed with lots of great data to formulate a winning offer. Soon, they will fly up and get the keys to their new home, and just in time to enjoy summer wine tasting!
