Thankful for my four-leggeds!

Sheltering at home with my furry friends

Every time I leave the safety of my home during the sequestered days of the COVID-19 pandemic order to stay home, I feel so uneasy. It is like being in an episode of The Leftovers – and that is a very weird show!

Being a workaholic of sorts, I usually work a lot – long hours for consecutive days. I often drag Bender, my rescue Rat Terrier mix, along. Sometimes he likes it and sometimes he seems fed up. Ruby, my 15 year old feline, holds down the fort at home and in her catio. I miss her and she misses me…

All that is different these days. We are home together almost all of the time. I am grateful for my home and the safety I feel here, but even more so, I am grateful for Ruby and Bender. They are the best company!

How are you handling the stay safe at home rules? Are your critters snuggled near you?
