The Power of Referrals: Family, Friendship, and Home Buying in SW Portland

By Carrie Struss, September 26, 2023

What happens when friends call me on a Saturday night & say, “The in-laws are in town & they found a house they want to buy, can you help?”

Kevin & Brenda were in Portland visiting their son & daughter-in-law when they happened upon an open house, fell in love with not only the house, but also the idea of being close to their family, & gave me a call to see what we could do. Two days later they were under contract to buy a house 5 minutes away from their kids, and one month after that, they are officially Portlanders!

But the story really began when I helped their son & daughter-in-law buy a house in 2019. Since then, these two have become friends & have sent me referral after referral, all of whom have also sent referrals, & from them more referrals! I can track so much of my business back to them that I thought it only fitting they get a trophy! To my G.R.O.A.Ts (Greatest Referrers of All Time) – I am SO GRATEFUL! I cannot thank you enough for supporting me, my business, & my son, Jack. I love you dearly!
