Burbin’ it Up.

I’m loving the amount of time I get to spend on the west side of Portland lately – I’m helping a few client partners buy and sell in Beaverton and Hillsboro, respectively. #nikelife #intellife

Sure, the ‘burbs can get a bad rep, but you know what? There’s something about the rolling fields, big lots, and solid construction – both new and old – on the west side. This pathway to the Oregon Coast has incredible history. I was just looking into Hillsboro’s history as part of this blog entry, and learned that “Rowdy” Roddy Piper lived there. I had no idea! You? If you’re interested in learning more about the area, including some random trivia factoids, you can click HERE.

My family and I are considering a move soon, to get closer to Nike (where my husband works). Plus, I want more land for my kiddos to roam. Give me a greenbelt and NW Contemporary design, stat! Something like this, thankyouverymuch (seriously, let let me know if you live in a house like the one pictured and are considering selling):

This will, I’m sure, be a great exercise, as we’ll be selling and buying a home ourselves. Stay tuned, I’m sure there will be stories to share on that front, especially considering we’ve been in our home in North Portland for ten years. Like, before children. As in, “Quick, close that closet!” I’m looking forward to the valuable reminder of what it’s like to truly walk in my client partners’ shoes during real estate transactions, and hope to draw some helpful tools for me to further aid you in the process, and deliver exceptional client service.

I’d love to hear from you if you’re a west sider. What parts do you love best? What school(s) should we considering? What’s your favorite Teriyaki joint? Park/playground? Coffee shop?

Better yet, reach out if you’re game for meeting at said coffee shop, and we can compare notes about #burblife.

Till then, high fives!
