Forget the view — this home has a root cellar and solar panels!

CONGRATULATIONS to Thea and Angel who just closed on their first home together as a couple!

Thea and Angel are lovely souls with many interests and talents! Among them are 3D printing, beekeeping, historic car restoration and soap making! We were tasked to find them a house that was just right for their varied hobbies and skills. When we found this darling Tudor in Gresham, we all pinched ourselves, as it was truly “just right.” It has a great floor plan with an option for one-level living and ample space for entertaining and all of their varied hobbies. It has a modern open kitchen, a basement with a root cellar, a large garage for shop work, an orchard for bees, and raised beds with an irrigation system for gardening. AND, best of all, it boasts a wonderful back deck that Thea and Angel can use at the end of the day to relax and take stock of their handiwork.  Did we mention that there are solar panels on the home and garage which allows them to sell back to the grid during most months?  What a jewel!

Congratulations Thea and Angel — we are so happy for you and can’t wait to experience the products of your talents! Do you have some very specific needs when it comes to your next house?  We can help you find the perfect one — Call us!

Wilshire Park from the Porch

These charming sellers have an appetite for the immaculate that my clients Casey and Andrew can identify with. As we entered into their arched foyer upon our first visit, we could see their shared love for impeccable design from the custom fireplace screen to their Bertazzoni stove. The amazing listing agent had showcased a list of the work these sellers had conducted over the last decade of their homeownership. Earthquake retrofit, radon mitigation, temp regulated wine cellar, solar panels, skylights, the list was spectacular.

While we were enjoying the array of flowering plants, trees, and shrubs in their sweet backyard garden, two lil hummingbirds came to greet us and play in the water fountain. This house was the ONE! ⛲️🌺 From start to finish this was such a dynamic group of people to work with. Thank you Casey and Andrew for your constant ambition and laughter. A huge thank you to Tina, our fantastic listing agent, and your wonderful sellers who were gems to collaborate with. With Wilshire Park at your fingertips and a zip line in the neighbor’s front lawn, I can’t wait to hear how the next few months bring a new experience of homeownership to you two! ❤️

Grant Park Investment Property

Recent transplants from Brooklyn, Sha and Matt are loving their new neighborhood of Grant Park. So much so that 6 months in they started looking for another property. With their eyes on several neighborhoods through out Portland, they landed on this solid Cape Cod just across from Grant High School. Conveniently in’t also a few blocks from their house.

With 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and an unfinished basement, there is plenty of room here. The hardwood floors were recently finished, along with interior paint. It has bonus improvements like newer, fully owned solar panels on the roof of the garage, and seismic earthquakes straps. As an investment property, it is solid enough to be rented out as is right around $3,000/month, but also has room to make improvement over the years…cut to the kitchen and bath. 🙂  And at a pricepoint under $700k, there will be some upside if they make smart improvements over the years.
