While living in Oakland, Jenny and Ian decided they wanted to be closer to family in Portland. They were so committed to the move, the couple began touring homes on FaceTime in August, and their daughter even started high school virtually in SE portland.

The fast work paid off and the family found a home fairly quickly. They completed most of the closing process from Oakland, only to find out the house had updates that were not permitted and could no longer be sold! But with their bags fully packed, and not ready to give up, they found an Airbnb in Happy Valley and we returned to the search.

As fate would have it, the day they moved into that Airbnb, they found their ideal home. This time, right down the street from friends and close to their daughter’s new school.
